Death Guard Incoming


Pre-Heresy Death Guard Astartes
I posted a few pictures of a Death Guard test miniature I'd painted. I was happy enough with the outcome to add a block of Mark II Plate Astartes to my latest order from Forgeworld. Luckily I've found time this weekend to start painting a tactical squads worth of Death Guard astartes.



I've only managed three Astartes so far as the paint scheme is slightly more complex than my Imperial Fists (and requires significantly higher levels of concentration). Overall I'm pretty pleased with the outcome.

    Looking very, very nice.

    I have gone for Death Guard for a Heresy force as well so would be very interested in how you did those.

    Thanks, really glad you like them.

    I'll post a walk-through in the next few days but in general the method is quite similar to the way I painted my Imperial Fists. The key stepwas using Oil Paint washes to make them look suitably mucky.
